Hi, my name is Jan and when I stumbled across this blog via a link it was available, so here I am! I used to read JW's blog and it would be great to find out what happened to him and his family and if they ever paid their debt off.<br /><br />But back then I wasn't serious about getting debt free. I read personal finance blogs, made a few changes but couldn't stick to it. Well the time has come to get GAZELLE INTENSE about paying off our debts! I grew up in a very frugal family and I think when I left home I just wanted to stop feeling so <u>deprived</u> all the time. I wanted to buy new clothes and eat out in nice restaurants, travel... own all those electronic gadgets!<br /><br />But it's caught up with me now. I lost my job early this year and only just found another one. I felt so stressed and worried about money the whole time! My husband is one of those reluctant ones so I'm just going to forge ahead do the best I can.<br /><br />I've been listening to <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Total-Money-Makeover-Financial-Fitness/dp/159555078X?ie=UTF8&tag=tightwad-20&link_code=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969" target="_blank">Dave Ramsey</a><img alt="" border="0" height="1" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=tightwad-20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=159555078X" style="border: medium none ! important; margin: 0px ! important; padding: 0px ! important;" width="1" /> for a while now and I'm going to follow his plan. I'm also going to be going back to the tightwad, super frugal ways I was taught growing up.
